I WAS RIPPED OFF ON OSO, BUY WARREN MILLER screen name HIGHPRIORITY

I purchased a short runner lower intake , adj fuel reg, and computer for $400. All parts came and were in good cond, problem is that the intake he sold me is not the short runner intake they sell from Arizona Speed & Marine and it fits a 97 back 454Mag EFI mine is a 99 motor. The intake was hand ported with a sanding drum or grinder, and is not what they sell to the public like Warren Miller told me. I call him and explained that the intake was not a true short runner intake and did not fit my motor. He told me he had to check with his motor guy?? that was 2months ago. I have tried to call and write , but have not gotten any answer. I thought you could trust everybody on OSO? I was willing to pay the shipping cost, but just wanted my $400 dollars back for the junk he sold me. I decide to see if anyone on this site could help me.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. The bad news is: people get ripped off every day on the internet. I am like you, I would think a member of OSO would make things right with you. I "almost" got ripped by a guy on another website. I hounded and hounded him, called him at home and at work, really bothered him as much as I could. After 2 months, he finally gave in and sent me the parts that I had already paid for. It was only $200, but I was pissed that he tried to rip me off. He thinks we`re buddies now.........
Anyway good luck!

You may want to post this on the main forum. I would like to hear a reply from HIghpriroty. Two sides to every story, not slighting you in anyway, just like to hear a defense as well. Good luck, no one likes to get screwed.

There was a guy from Arizona who bought some TRS parts from me. He sent me the check and I didn't end up sending him the parts until about 4 months or so later. But he told me to hold off in sending the parts because he was thinking about buying more stuff from me and wanted it all sent in one big shipment. I can't remember everything about it because it was about 2 years ago and we didn't communicate with each other very well. I have sold a lot of parts through this forum and have usually been very prompt in sending it all out. Of all the parts I have sold to several fellow boaters here (and I have sold everyting from carbureators to engines to outdrives) and he was the only one whom I didn't deliver to right away because of the reasons I have described above. I hope you get your situation resolved.

I have both sold and purchased a number of items from fellow OSO members and have had pretty experiences.
