I wonder too, since the carb HP500 cam is prone to reversion at idle rpms

Think efi cam don't idle it alot just put a 2 inch pulley on waterpump to slow it down and restrict or in thermo housinng

Condensation

OK I ran motort to 140 and condensation I s gone restricted water at hose now it's all gone. Or was it from sitting a Mon t h ?

I think a question here is how much condensation? I always has a bit on my motors in my Cafe - bypass and no stats. I screwed around with restricutors, etc, but finally just gave up. It wasn’t like I was getting to the end of the season and my oil was watered down/milky, there was just always some condensation under the valve covers and on the bottom of the breathers…..

I run a closed cooling system(engine only, love my aluminum heads) 160 thermostat and she runs 160-170, I have a very large oil cooler and it runs 200ish and it seems to burn of the condensation no problem, I imagine that after I shut her down overnite there probably is some but seems too burn off/evaporate after a good long run, you should try an oil temp gauge very handy to keep an eye on temps.

125 is too cool. Heat builds power. That's not uncommon and the only place you'll see it is likely under valve covers of a boat. You should be venting your engine and running catch cans. Often it's because of pulling valve. Overs within an hour of running. I've had engines it disappeared over nite.
