Replacement fuel tanks

Hello everyone,

I bought a project 36' Mirage Offshore and in the process of restoration I noticed corrosion on the tanks. I have pricing on replacement aluminum tanks but was curious if any alternative non-corrosive materials were suitable for this type of boat. Do they make any poly tanks large enough to fit this application?
I currently have 2-128 gal & 1-142 gal tank in need of replacement.

Thanks in advance for the replies!!!!

wouldn't reccomend a poly tank, theres not enough baffles in them.

Thanks,

I'll stick with the aluminum, can't find any plastic tanks large enough. That must be the reason why - they don't or can't put baffles in them.

could put fuel cell foam in them instead of baffles....but I would have alum or stainless tanks built...

Thanks again for your reply,

All of the corrosion was on the outside of the tank. So I've ordered aluminum tanks but I am researching other methods of holding them in place other than OEM - Foam. Pockets had formed between foam and aluminum that held moisture in place. The original foam was soaked with gasoline and water mixture.
