I just looked at McMaster-Carr online and couldn't you use a brass pipe bushing and lock nut? They have one that reduces 1" to 3/4", pn 4429K415 and a lock nut, pn 4429K126. Both parts total is less than $8 plus ~$5 for shipping.
They have a wide range of sizes listed.

I have an Email sent to them asking if that would work rbtnt, Usually bulkheads have straight threads on the outside. I don't know if that nut will fit NPT threads? But I will find out Thanks

What the hell are they smoking over there!!! Thats got to be a misprint. well I'll know tomorrow when I call them. I got a few more leads when I did a search using what they called them.."Tank Fuitting"
