Stellings TRS to Bravo extension boxes?

I saw the ad for them in Powerboat, Does anyone know anything about them? Would this be an easy way of switching from TRS to Bravo?

Audio looked into them a while back. I don't think they were too expensive either. I know that they use your existing transom hole and pattern. They then taper to the bravo pattern. The only thing that I'm not sure of is what happens with the trans, drive shaft, and rear mount.

I think it can go either way-- leave the trans, mounts and all and add a short shaft to the bravo or remove the trans, mount and run a longer drive shaft to the bravo. Bravo shop also has a trs to bravo conversion. Check out www.bravoshop.com

Ya I looked into them. Do a search in this forum and you should find my thread. They came out to be about 2000-2500 a side to do. You can leave your motors as is and use a drive shaft made the most sence. They told me that the kit was all you needed except for the drive shaft. Now you can have your transom glassed in and recut the holes for a lot less then that. This will certainly be faster however. A good person could finish it all up in about 1-2 days they said.

am i reading this right,
leave the trans. behind the engine,
install the stellings adapter/box,
then use a bravo drive ?
wouldnt you want to get rid of
the trans. since it's not needed ?
you could lose a few #'s, and shift
some weight to the rear by moving
the engines back.
or is it just those rigging issues mentioned,
plus possible tail pipe issues, that running
the trans. is suggested ?

And if the trans. is left in the boat,
the transmission would have be left in
forward gear for the drive to work,
( due to the angle of the spiral splines on the
clutch shaft) they only work with CCW input shaft rotation.
forgot to mention the hp the trans consumes also.
