Bobby is right, Nasty Habbit. Inch for inch, these will outrun a 454 or 502. Had a NA 427 in a '69 Camaro with 700-R4, 3.56 Ford rear. Ran 7.23 in 1/8 with the A/C on- blew the tires away with it off(pump 93). I love the 427!! Pm and I'll help all I can.

Now that I think about it....sell the 454's as running motors for $1200 each and start over with tall-deck blocks.
Almost everything is going to be changed out anyway.

TALL DECKS RULE!!
If you are changing from a short deck to a tall, remember, the exhaust is mooved up and out so be sure yours will still work.
