I used the Aeroquip "push lock" last spring. Makes a very nice installation. I also used their "push lock" fittings - one side is an extra long barb, and the other is AN. The fittings come with trim rings which secure the installation, and make the barb look like AN.

What ID hose did you use and what type? Most all the push-on type hose I have found is max 200 degrees.

Formula31,
Try Aeroquip. Can be bought at almost any shop that deals in race cars. Summit, jegs, Unlimitedspeed.com, many others. This stuff is tuff and is made for this type use.

Formula 31 I allways use high temp hose 200 is not high enough for me.I have a hyd shop in VA. I use for my needs. The local hyd. shop here in Gainesville can not do high temp. lines something about the machine and that they do not stock high temp. hose. Hyd. lines and engine oil feed line are two different animals.

I just realized that I used the "Earl's" version of push on hose.

Earl's "Super Stock Hose"

Can't remember if I used -8 or -10.

Also looked at Aeroquips site, and their hose is now called "Socketless", it's rated to 300deg F.

When I did this I started out visiting the local hydraulic shops, and none of them could make up a high temp assembly. Then I considered braided, but the cost was prohibitive. I wanted to use the Aeroquip, but I think at the time it was out of stock so I settled on the super stock as a good compromise.

Picked up all my stuff today. $135, ouch. The hose is blue, s**t , now I need Hp500's to match. LOL

Right on Olysan!!
Aeroquip is now available in BLACK. Some stores don"t have it yot, but it is out there. Just look in the new Aeroquip catalogue.
Also, believe them when they say NO CLAMPS.

Heres how the install came out. Fortunately I dont need the power steering cooler on this one. Ive got lots of leftover fittings and hose. Turns out I could use the existing filter lines.
