EMI fusion coat?

Who has had some done? I'm thinking about doing my grab handles and throttles....what are the lead times? aprox. cost?

dyno,
The fusion coat is awesome stuff and I had some of my hardware re-coated as it was flaking off on a couple items. Reasonably priced...I just sent in a custom vent (to cover an old radio hole actually) and they blast it, coated it in silver first, then fusion coated and it cost me $20 including shipping I think. I had 2 cleats, 4 grab handles, gas cap, and 2 vents done and it was less than $100 bucks. I hope this helps. I think it also helps if they have a bunch of parts to do in a "run" so you might tell them to wait until they have a group of parts to do???

Thanks Dave!!!!

Isn't it just a glorified powdercoat? I beleive you can get similar "anodized" colors in powdercoat from hotcoat. http://www.hotcoat.com/cgi-bin/sgdyn...03020615013458

How does fusion coating compare to powder coating as far as durabilty ( especially in salt water ) is concerned?

ttt

dyno,
Not sure about the brass as the fusion coat is actually transparent and you can see through it so some of the brass color would show through....depending on what color you are looking for it could be pretty cool. I would call Eddie Marine at 909-945-2830 and ask to talk to Joe (I think it's Joe?) and he will give you some ideas. Let me know what the verdict is on the brass as it could turn out to look pretty trick!!!

Slingshot is correct. anything that is metal and take 400degree heat can be power coated.
