Sunsation 288 Procharger install advice

Hey Everyone,

A friend of mine has a 2000 288 Sunsation and getting ready to have a Procharger installed (502EFI). Has anyone had/done a Procharger install with this setup? He is in process of getting pricing and is finding a wide span, so just trying to get a real feel of reality. What kind of issues did you find, did you have to pull the engine, what about install costs, number of hours it took, etc?

Thanks for the help…

Send Kanookster a PM. He has this identical setup and I believe he's a PC dealer.

Hot To Go Racing in NY is a Sunsation dealer and a great performance shop, might be able to help you out.

I installed M-3 system on my 96 502 mag in the fall. Did it myself. Did not have to pull the motor. Probably have at least 40 hrs. in the install. Bought from Rob at RW marine in Etters, PA for about 5000 including all the necessary extras. Nothing extremely difficult, just many little things. Had to cut and reglass the floor to allow room for the crank pulley and had to remotely mount the intercooler. I really took my time, it could be done faster by someone who has experience with this. Would not have anyone do it who has not had experinece with the system. You need to set the fuel system as advised by Aeromotive and the people on the board. The system has worked flawlessly so far, about 10 hrs., gained 11 mph. People are right about the mixed advice from the tech support, it could be better. I would do it again, but it is not a weekend project. I am pleased with the results. I'd be happy to talk with you if you want.
Eric
