teflon

will the good ol teflon in the tube be fine for my arp studs in my heads an d sending units?

Personally, I prefer brown aviation sealer for head bolts or studs. You need a good seal to keep out any water.

ARP THREAD SEALANT (teflon in a tube) will not work on head studs. I tried it on a SB stroker and could not get them to stop leaking. I had coolant seeping through every one. I asked my machine shop and they said to only use red locktite. I followed their recommendations and had no problems.

well so i pull my heads to replace sealnt can i reuse my head gaskets since the enine was never fired (head gaskets)

You can pull the bolts one at a time and retorque each one. If you have a 502, the bojlt holes are blind and don't have to have any sealer. If you have holes that go into the water jacket, put a small amount of sealer on the underhead of the bolt and under the washer, if you have one. This will stop the water, but can cause rusted head bolts that can be murder to remove.

Aslong as the motor has never been started you can reuse the gaskets.
