De- winterize boat?
 

I have a 2000 502 Mag/Mpi It was fogged n winterized completely. Can I just charge the battery, squirt some oil in the cylinders, hook hose up , and start it, run it for 10 minutes, than shut it down for a complete tune up? Anything I should be aware of or look for?

Do not even turn it over without water going to the pump. The impeller goes byby real quick. As a matter of fact, if the raw water pump is original, the impeller is due for replacement. I would pull the drive, grease the u-joints and check the alignment too. Check the torque on the u-bolt nuts at the top of the gimbal ring too.

I have a new impeller n housing to install. How hard is it to pull drive? Do I fully remove it or just unbolt it and slide it back ? How do I check alignment? OH Boy here we go!
