First run?

For the first run of the season, should you take it easy with the boat? or drive normal? why or why not?

WETTE VETTE 03-22-2003 05:01 PM

I normally go hammer down!!

You gotta make sure it didn't lose a step over the winter!!:D

If it's got oil pressure (fresh oil) and is at operating temp, nail it:D If somethings gonna break, might as well happen early in the season;)

At least leave it warm up first:rolleyes:

Good, I dont have to wait anuy longer to be at WOT :D Getting her in the driveway over the weekend, change oil, rotor cap, plugs and wires....Hopefully in water by tues or wed :)

JaayTeee 03-24-2003 05:47 PM

I'm an equal opportunity
abuser, I run it the same all season long.

Besides, the lake lice havent came out
of winter dormancy yet, you don't have
to worry about running them over:D ;)

HyperBaja 03-25-2003 02:17 PM

Running them over?? I wish I had that problem!! When you have sail boats walking away from you, are you still a powerboater?

obnoxus 03-25-2003 04:03 PM

dont forget the drive oil !!!!!!!!

I change mine in the fall,, just to get the yuckies out.

engine oil gets changed in fall winterization, and again in the spring in case any condensation got in there,,, of course,,, this year I just pulled the motor instead !!!!!!
