a friend of mine blew a blade off of a 26 pitch hydro prop[rt hand ], and it was a stock prop, no thinning of the blades at all, the blade came off where it meets the hub, it was a clean break, the metal look like it was crystalized, the boat was a 30 spectre with twin 500's, but hey, anything can break. you might try a bravo 4 blade also.

WOW!
Not one mention of the REV 4   |
I went from a 23 Mirage to a 22 Q-IV on a 22 Pachanga and loved it. I was running it with a stock 330 hp 7.4. I now have jumped to 525 hp and am looking to sell the 22's have.
But definitely going with a 26 or 27 Q-IV with the new power. Scott [email protected] |
with the stock 7.4 did you pick up any thing on the top end? my wellcraft needs more stern lift its seems like its plowing at wot unless I have a full tank of gas
|
Did dnot pick up, but did not lose. The boat had so much bow lift withthe mirageit was no fun to drive. Could not see when coming on plane. Once I switched to the Q -IV it jumped on plane and midrange was much better. The boat handled like it was on rails compared to the mirage that you had to becarful of in turns or it would blow out.
My wife even enjoys driving it now the the Q-IV |
