Duel carbs on N/A

I am interested if anybody is running this on built 454-502?
What cfm, machanical or vac, jetting for starts.
Thanks GEO

usually you see dual carb setups on tunnel ram NA engines. I've seen tons of jet boats that run that kind of setup.

check out the hotboat.net forum i know there are bunch of jet boaters from out west on that board.

The Lip Ship Gladiator at the Miami show had N/A 700 Zul duel carb tunnel ram motors

Zul uses 650 to 850 Demons on his Tunnel Ram engines depending on the cubic inches, and HP of the setup. That gladiator with the twin 700 Zuls ran over 100MPH !!!

Yea, but the zul motors are big inch and big hp. We're only talking about a 454 or 502. Now Geo, you naturally know that you can make the same power at a lower rpm with less fuel consuption with only one carb. I presume you want two for appearances. That's cool. I'd go with a tunnel ram. Find one with the smallest runners you can get. You need to try and keep the velocity up. If not, the engine will have to be spun to the moon. You will also be looking for some really small carbs. Like some 450's.

Use the Weiand Hi Ram.

This intake will make more power and torque than a single plane manifold and will still have some decent low end power. Use 650 double pumpers if it is a mild motor and if it is wild you may want to use 750's or even 850's. It looks cool too!!

Not sure what brand intake Procharger is using for their big blowers but am guessing an Offenhauser(sp) maybe which is a standard height intake set up for 2 carbs.
