When you get tired of fixing broken mercs, give the guys at pulsedrive a call. Five year warranty, which could mean one million hours or more! Doesn't matter, they just don't brake.

Steve----Thanks for the feedback. I may eventually go with 1:36 gears so that I may run a smaller prop and help keep some of the load off the drives---that sounds like it might be a good idea. Of course the time I'd like to do that is with some IMCO 2" lowers. :)

Michigandale and Kaama,

The Pulse drive is a good strong system, and if I were to build another boat, I would consider them. They are assembled in Pompano Beach just a few miles from my office. Tony seems like a stand up guy and Harry Schoel is as good as they get. At this time they do not build a triple system (as far as I know) and that's what I currently run.

Kaama, I'm with you, Tim (Horseplay 3) is having a good run with his Imco Extreme SC drives. We both need rich Uncles or our Kids to take care of us $$$$$$$$$$$$
;)

I talked to Pulse drive at the miami show, they do make a triple setup. My problem is asthetics. I think they are UGLY. I dont like the swim platform thing especially when I have a swim platform built in to the boat allready. I think it would look much better with a stainless steel platform / brackets or something. The technology is great but the looks are not there
