Is any body using a in-line flush valve on there engines?
Perko has the "FlushPro". They make it in 1" and 1 1/4".
Wondering if there any good.
Are there any others available??

note they cannot be run with alphas. note perko states the motors should not be run the water is being forced thru the system which does a lousy job.let me know what your running for drives i'll see if i can help.

I have a 3-way valve, hook the hose up turn the valve to the engine you want to flush, verify water is coming out the outdrive water p/u and fire in the hole. Mine came from the factory with it installed a very simple hookup.

Simply Tee into your 1 1/4" water intake supply hose coming from your inner transom plate. Assemble a tee out of a bronze "flapper-valve" that has 1" female pipe thread on both ends. Thread a 1" male pipe X 1 1/4" male barb adapter fitting into both ends(also bronze) of the valve. Drill and tap a 1/2" pipe hole into the top of the flapper valve. Thread in a 1/2" male pipe X 3/4" male barb bronze fitting into the top. Run a 3/4" hose from this up to a Chrome Perko water inlet fitting. Tips: Make sure you drill and tap the top of the flapper valve on the correct side of the flap & use wire wound water hose so it won't kink on you. Of course, you can't use this on an Alpha drive because there is an impeller in the drive that would not be getting water & would burn up. But it can be used on all other drive applications. All these parts can be purchased at a good marine wholesale house. Hope this helps. Ed :)

The Perko valves work fine, if you run a sea strainer in front of them. I have seen them plug up with sea weed.

I did put one in my boat, but don't use it.
I've got 70lbs. of water pressure at the tap and don't like attaching it to my engine.
I've used my set up pictured below all last summer.
Might take a little longer filling and draining but the engine gets the volume of water it needs without the pressure.
The perko is coming out as soon as I get a chance.
I also think that it may restrict flow at higher speeds.
