Shorepower question

I want to install a 30 A. service with two outlets. These will be used for a microwave, coffee pot,and fan. Should the microwave be on a seperate circuit? Also what size wire from the power inlet to the breaker panel and from the panel to the outlets? Thanks for any help...

If you are going to run 30 amps then you will need to run two 15 amp breakers feeding 2 outlets. You can't get 30 amps from a regular duplex outlet. Run 10 guage wire ( Marine grade 10/ 2 with ground) from the shore power connector to the breaker box. And 12 guage from the breaker box to the outlets. Make sure everything is grounded. And run a ground wire to the engine also-- This is VERY important. And if you don't know what color goes on what terminal get someone to help you that does. YOU DON'T WANT TO FRY ANYONE IN THE WATER. OH and use GFI duplex outlets.

Yes, put the micro on a separate circuit. How many amps does the coffee pot and fan draw? You probably can get away with putting them on the same curcuit. As for the wire size treat it like a house, 12-14 gauge.

Use 10 gauge marine grade copper wire.
