No Spark
 

Help Anyone?
Todays project was to change the oil & filter in the boat
first start of the season, engine 1 started and running fine changed oil no problem
Started 2nd engine ran 5 min and died, checked and found no spark to plugs or cap, checked circuit breakers ect OK. +side of coil has power.
Any suggestions?
oh it a 1989 Formula F-311 with 7.4 420's

Sounds like a bad coil. Pull the one off the other engine and try it.

I have tried swapping the coil & what l would call an ignition module with no help
the only difference i found with my test light was no power on the white/red wire going into the distributor on the no start motor
Any ideas?

This sound stupid but it's happened to me. Did you check the dead man switch?

Dead mans switch checked out OK
I'm thinking maybe Pickup module in distributor?

This just happened to me to, it was the ingnition ground wire from the distributor and the module. cleaned it and reinstalled and runs fine now...

Good News,
Replaced the Ignition sensor last night and she's running like a charm again
Now I just have to wait for the lake to thaw
