vortec +ariz. speed and marine kits?

for those that have the vortec maxflow or az speed and marine magnum kit , what are you setting your adj. fuel reg pressures?
i have a 1998 502 efi and set it 42psi, az speed and marine said 48psi? what is the pros and cons of setting to high or low?

AZ Speed & Marine also told me 48psi, so that's where I set it.

Downside to setting it too high: mainly that the motor may run a little rich a leave soot on your transom (mine does not).

Downside to setting it too low: KABOOOM !!

I would start at 48 and lower it if you get a lot of soot or if the engine stumbles at any point.

set mine at 48 but the motor seems to load up need to start a post to find out where I went wrong. I think there may be a vacuum leak at the regulator. By the way the regulator sucks to get to!!!!!!!!!

Fuel mixture varries with the pressures. Higher pressures are richer. RIC 232 is right about the KABOOM if you get too low. Too low will also give a bad idle. I ALWAYS do what the programer (AZ Speed) says and talk to them BEFORE I change anything.
