Speaking of oil capacity,

The Cat filters on my sea ray's diesels each hold right at a GALLON of oil each. Each time I change them, I get amazed as I keep on and keep on and keep on pouring oil into them before spinning them into place...

Anybody try K&N? I'm going to this season?

The mobile one should hold the pressure all you need is 8 to 10
lbs. per thousand RPM.. anymore you kill the dist. and cam gear and for sure if its brass gear on the dist.
It also wastes 10 to 12 hp or more to drive the pump !

Hope this helps :D :D

If you are using the AC Delco filters you should use #1218. These are the same size as the PF35 but they have a anti backflow valve to prevent the oil from draining out of the filter when the engine is off.

I use the K&N Filter. No problems, I use the K&N on all my vehicles

Racing filters

Alot of the racing filters are concerned with not cutting down flow and short term use . The A/C35L and the mobile have special elements in them that are expenseve but flow alot yet stop very small parts and the filter media (element) is made for syn. oils as well . I am sure a/c sold the rights to their L filter media to moble and this is what makes them work so well
K&N are made by either wix or someone else
Pressure should not be a problem with anything we run as most will hold 80 to 90 psi which is way to much oil pressure anyway ,you only need 8 to 10 lbs per 1000 rpms anymore than this and it loads the dist. gear to hard and takes power;)
