Water Inside Intercooler-SHOT?

Well, This is my first post to the site and I'm happy to be here but my first may be my worst. I started the boat today since the long winter and found that the intercooler was dumping water into the motor. After pulling all the plugs it seems that the motor is ok but it looks like the local marina has botched my winterization! My guess is the the intercooler froze and wiped out the core. This is a 504 ProCharger intercooler. Can this be fixed or do I need to buy a new unit? What a lousy way to start the season.
Thanks and look forward to being here and hearing from you.

you can probably buy a new core for the intercooler. Hopefully procharger ones are relativly cheap. When i looked at getting a core for a lee intercooler they wanted $1800. :eek

oh BTW (ona happier note) welcome to the board :D

Find out what water pressure the intercooler sees and take it to a good radiator shop?

When mine went I just bought a new one. For them to re-core it you will have to ship it back to them, they have to cut it open, replace core, weld it back together, and ship back. Who nows how long it will take them! I know it is more to buy new, but that is the only way I go now. I am tired of used, and repaired parts failing! I got it from CP Performance. I think it was $1100.00. Procharger told me 2 weeks because they would have to build it and their price was higher.

There was one for sale on ebay, bid was pretty cheap

Well, I'm still trying to figure some stuff out but ProCharger said that it cant be fixed at all! Seems that my intercooler has become a piece of aluminum scrap metal. Mabey a can of Fix-a-Flat is worth a try. Thanks guys and keep it coming. I may try to call an intercooler shop too-just for the hell of it.
