paint for manifolds?
 

does mercury or some one else make a spray paint in gloss black to touch up some lite rust spots on my stock merc. exhaust manifolds?

I used duplicolor spray bomb high temp engine paint and it worked fine. As we say in the paint world...."black is black". It does have a nice gloss finish to it and can be wet sanded with 320 grit paper and used as a primer before putting imron over it if you want to. I just did my new Revolution Marine manifolds that way and they turned out great cause they were pretty rough from the manufacturer. Glenn

thanks for the paint info, was interested in knowing more about the revolution marine manifolds and how they worked for you ?i have a stock 1998 502efi and am looking to upgrade my exhaust system .
