prop 35 non step lightning
 

any ideas on what i should start with?
had 450 hp motors spinin 25 hydros to 5100 fine,,

now have added teague merlin heads, 587/610 cams , dart intakes, been told should add 100 hp per motor? u think?

what prop would work best from your experience non step deep x,, 525 -550 hp ea,, bravo hydro mirage???? 26 /27/28????
any clues would be helpfull

I have some labbed bravo props that came off a 35 lightning with blowers. If you want to try them to see how they work PM me. I'll bet they are perfect for your set-up.

What is the intake volume on the heads? Is there port work? What are the airflow numbers? Duration on the cam? what carb?

yes there is posrt work done by teague dont know the airflow #s etc do have 830 holeys

running same boat diff power 502s w/cams intake,carb dont know internals . spinning 27 mirage 78on gps got a pair of 26 hydros didnt like the feel was 2mph slower. having the hydros labbed. bought used had extra cup, and? what speed was toyrs running before mods, do you spin props in or out what exhaust are you running

How fast do you want to spin the engines??? Probably faster than 5100, more like 5400. Start with the props you have and go from there. Maybe some 27 mirage plus's for top speed.

i dont know if was right but gps'd at 77.6 seemed high i thought but ??? maybe had tailwind and current with me i dont know?
my buddy says his 99 38 does 80-81 but he has no 3 mph on me,,, he can just barely pull me.. and he has hp500s spinin hydro 26's hmmm?? turning 5krpm

have a 1992 35' lightning in our shop.Repowered 1996 HP 500's 25 mirage props OK(5200rpm).Have a set of Hoss 27's can't spin them but 5000rpm.Both sets are for sale,uping the HP.Hope this helps.
