K-plane actuator install question

I have a plastic actuator kit for my new K-planes. When I thread the plastic cable grip into the k-plane transom plate, do I need to apply any type of sealant to the threads?

I just used teflon tape just in case.

Ooops just looked I used paste not the tape. Not sure it really matters either way they will both work for ya.
