Trim on Throttle??

I took a quick ride on Sunday and noticed my trim switch on my Keikhafer throttle did not work in the down position. I could use it to bring the drive up but it wouldn't work coming down.

I have a seperate drive switch on the dash and I can use that drive rocker switch and it works fine up and down. I haven't had time to look into it yet.

Any idea's?? Has anyone had to replace one of these switches before?

Trim on throttle

Piece of cake to replace. Check diode connections first.

On my boat the wires from the trim on the throttle are connected to the trim switch on the dash, they work in parallel. Sometimes one connector just comes loose creating exactly the situation you describe. In your case it should be the green wire.

If this is for a single engine, you will not have a diode. A simple check with an ohm meter will say what is bad. Or you could switch the 2 wires coming from the throttle switch and see if the problem goes to other side.
