"Proper" kill switch wiring
Hello all,
Wrapping up loose ends for Eastlake... still have kill switch wiring to do. The APBA Technical Rules state that kill switches need to shut off fuel supply to motors with elect pumps. Will breaking the power connection to the ignition switches with a kill switch accomplish this? Also, I've got a set of Safe-T-Stop kill switches for each crew member. They are two switches in a single housing, "ganged" together for a twin motor configuration. These have a toggle switch that the lanyard attaches to. Anyone running these? Are they going to pass inspection? Thanks in advance, Brian |
Hi Mike,
Actually, Safe-T-Stop has a pretty slick setup these days... a single toggle with two independent switch circuits behind it, with two sets of wires. Made especially for twin setups. In my case, I would have needed six, as I'll be using a Navigator for "ballast" in the port seat. He loves hearing that. ;^). With these, I reduce costs and end up with a cleaner look. Thanks for the info. Brian |
