Bobby D, if I were to leave the purple/white lead, wire #3, grounded all the time and set my base timing to 30*, it should stay fixed at that setting, correct? Would the rev limiter and knock sensor still function with that disconnected? The manual doesn't say. I definately need the rev limiter.

not trying to speak for Bobby that should work I looked at my A?T tonight and its wired the same as you discribed and I ran it all last year
BUT ChECk THE KNOCK SENSOR WITH A SCAN TOOL AND HAMMER THE WAY MY ENGINE MAN DID TO BE SURE THE SENSOR WORKED
