Whipple Problem

Broke the stud (or cap screw) holding the main pulley on a 2000 whipple charger. Not running hard just cruising around 3000 rpm’s when the engine fell on its face (no loud noise). Immediately shut down then opened up the hatch to see the pulley and belt there on the floor of the boat.

I could not find the same length bolt but did get one of the same size. I screwed in the bolt and can turn blower, it spins easily.

I will get the correct size bolt this week and try to run but my question is … is there anything else to check before starting? Or is this a common problem with the blower pulley?

Thinking of other things I looked at … yes plenty of oil in blower ..about 30 hrs since change, bearings looked good around shaft, there are about 300 hrs on the blower, engine starts and idles fine just no throttle, I’m in the mid-west so this was the second run of the year,
