Removing Vinyl Graphics

What is the best way to remove vinyl graphics?

I have heard people us a hair dryer or heat gun.

How about some type of solvent?

I used a heat gun with grat results. Be prepared to wet sand the gelcoat if they have been there for a while

There is a product that 3m makes. Its called woodgrain remover. That may not be the exact name. Thay make it for removing the hideous woodgrain panel graphics on mini vans. I used it on some pin striping and it worked great. It was recommended to me by a boat detailer.

I found it at Napa.

Used with good luck a hairdryer on the warm position (use a difussor that concentrates the airflow) and try to help to remove the vinyl adhesive with windex or similar (glass cleaner).

If some residues of adhesive gets on the surface, rub with isopropyl alcohol to remove the gum.
