Run the "amplifier/power ant" lead from the head unit thru that switch before proceeding to the amplifier triggers (wire the amp power direct to the battery bank with no switches, except for maybe another HD Perko if you want - and fuse EACH amp separately and properly to keep from burning the boat down).

And NEVER leave without a jumper box - they are just too handy.

i keep a AA powered nav light with a suction cup on it, for emergencies. I had an incident once on my first boat. Lost nav lights due to crappy old byliner wiring.
