Speedrails

Hi!

I have a Phantom 25 w/Promax 300 running 76-78 mph. The boat weight is approx. 1.100 kilos incl. driver and engine.

I tried speedrails - 2 and 4 - and they slowed me down with 3 mph...

I will blueprint & glasspolish the prop, watersand the bottom with 600 paper / Speedkoat, rebalance the boat (as much weight aft / out of the boat), sharpen and straigten the bottom, take a look at the x dimension, etc.

Again...I thought a month ago we all determined that you loose speed to a smoothe bottom. A local factory 1 team even goes so far as to lightly sanding the bottom before a race.

Hi!

I have tested:

1. Clean bottom
2. Added SpeekKoat
3. Watersanded with 400 grit
4. Watersanded with 600 grit

Watersanded with 600 grit proved to be fastest both on cruise and wot. Ugland Racing Offshore Class One use the same method. However, this may vary boat to boat.

To wax the bottom slows you down. Thats common rule.
