Evercoat gelcoat repair

Have some nicks on my hull (in the gelcoat only) and need to fill them, has anyone used the Evercoat 'Match n Patch' kit do do this? It consists of repair paste, hardener and some color tints.

Any other suggestions without having to spray it?

the gel paste works well, they give you some acetate film to apply over the paste to cure, i have had good luck with this stuff, it is thick and will not run like gelcoat [liquid] it shrinks when it cures so build it up a little over the surface, apply the clear film let cure then sand flush

works pretty well. Use more color than they say to. If you mix it to lean (only had the problem with white) it gets a blueish gray tint.

you shodul get soem 1000, 1600 grit sandpaper from an auto parts store to wet sand after yoru done. Then compound and wax and your set.

Thanks for the input, will try the product out this weekend (if it is raining again).

Also, is the clear acetate film needed to cure it? If so, know where I can get extra?

not needed to cure it BUT they says you can make it smooth and it won't require sanding. I personally never tried becasue it ALWAYS requires sanding.
