IMCO Shortie on a 29 Fountain
 

Anyone tried a shortie on a 29 Fountain w/ s 525SC or HP500?

WE RAISED THE X DIM. ON A 29 AND PUT on a stand off box and a 5 blade prop from herring and the boat flies ,, we've now added a 1100 hp motor and imco drive and a new 5 blade and it just plain fun now !!!!;) ;) ;) ;)

What year was the boat? What kind of HP and numbers were you seeing before the 1100 hp motor? How much did you raise the X? I have the same boat 2000, whippled 500efi, bravo I 28p RH, and am only pushing 84 as of right now. Wondering if raising x and going to five blade will help speed and handling? Thanks for any more info.

Its a 2000 boat raise counting drive 3" and turn prop left hand made it handle great just be sure to use a good top cap on drive ,Kaama on board may have some ,,
this boat we carbed and are running a quad rotor but you can add boost to yours 10lbs and get the rev limit raised to 5700 and that will help use a small pitch and turn the motor it will stroll
