Bravo Lower Removal?

I took a chunk out of my skeg this last weekend and have found a local guy who will fix it, but he says he just wants the lower only...is this as simple as it looks...4 or 6 bolts and drop it off? I'm talking cavitation plate and below-what do I need to know? Thanks in advance, Berg

It drops off just drain it first to save a mess
you can't hurt it and you may need an allen head wrench to get the trim tab off maybe not but it will drop apart easy

Still can't get the lower off...

OK guys- I've removed 6 3/4" nuts...4 lower and 2 upper and 1 bolt to a zinc that looks like it holds the lower gear case to the intermediate gear case....well, it's not coming off. I've hit it a little bit with a piece of wood and hammer, but am afraid to break somthing....any ideas??

there is another bolt where the zinc came out
