Is there any filter in the Holley carb? The old carbs in cars had a filter inside the carb, do marine carbs do the same or do they only use the fuel-water seperator filter?

I know that the Holley 800 that was used for quite some time had filters that went in each bowl, right behind where the fuel line entered. They were not the brass type, but a sort of plastic reinforced mesh.

The above post is correct When I had checked mine I had manufacturing debris in them (pieces of glass).

Is there any way to open it up without messing up the paint?
