That flywheel is not correct, surprised it was on the 454 Gen v you had.
The GM part number for the correct flywheel: 14096987
You can get this thru any GM/Chvy dealer.

Gene, I see you are in Austin. I have a shop in Spicewood and do quite a bit of high performance work. Be glad to help out a fellow OSO member if you need anything. Give me a call. 830 6935591

502 gen V EFi, flywheel missing teeth

From what i read, the Gen V 502 is externally balanced
My flywheel is missing teeth
so i can get the GM flywheel 14096987
Can i just put it on straight out of the box
Or i have to get it balanced ?
Or should i just put a new ring on my oldflywheel

Just replace the ring gear... they're less than $20.

Gen 5 and 6 are interchangable. MarkIV is not.

The only difference on any of the BBC flywheels is the balance. I am running the flywheel from a cast Gen IV 454 on my Gen VI 540. I just had it neutral balanced.

so GM# 14096987 flywheel is good out of the box, for my Gen V 502
