Tbolt IV module, rev limiter?

Do any of the V6 Tbolt IV modules have rev limiters?
Specifically, I'm talking about the V6, 14 module, PN 15247A1.
The engine is a blown tall deck 540 with solid lifters, and I know the owner wants to spin it to 6000rpm.

TB IV modules don't have any rev limiters built in. The rev limiters on TB IV's are a separate component from the module.

Thanks Griff, thought so.

rev limiter

I have completed (2) custom built mark 4, 502ci/672hp motors with Merc TB ignition. Can I put a rev limiter in this ignition without changing the distributor and if so what part number would I use to limit to 6500rpm?
Anybody?

You would have to get an MSD, Crane or similar aftermarket Ignition box and rev limiter. The highest rpm for for Merc stuff is 5300rpms.

rev limiter

OK - but does this mean I can still use my stock distributor with an aftermarket ignition box/rev limiter?

Yes, it can be wired into the TB IV.

I've got 2 MSD soft touch rev limiters never used in boxes. Probably ought to sell them...
