Where to mount transum water pick up and speedo
 

I just got a bobs marine adjustable hight transum water pick up to be used to supply water to my inter cooler. I also got a transum mount speedo pickup.

Where do I mount them on the hull , left of the drive or right. How far between the drive and the chine, also what hight do I ajust the pick up to start with ???? ................... even with the hull ????????

I mounted mine just off center of the drive. I have a surfacing prop and was afraid the pickup would disturb the water flow to it. I also didn't want to get too far off center as I wanted to keep mine low in the water. I have it hung down 1/16" and I'm showing a rock solid 10psi. I used a small allen wrench laid flat on the hull to set it.

I mounted it here for my whippled 454 on my old eliminator
