Tempest Prop

Can anyone help me identify a TEMPEST prop.
I run it on a Formula 22' with a 502 EFI 500 HP.
I am having problems with the prop cavitating just when I get up in plane.
Is it because of the prop.
The boat shoots right up in the air when going up on plane!

I thought that a Tempest was for an outboard motor.

It is supposedly bass boats, but I don't know why it would not work well on our boats as well. It has the same diameter as the Mirage and has a lot of cup. The only difference may be that the Tempest has higher rake to carry the bow of bass boats. I've always wanted to try one to see how it does.

outboard prop TEMPEST PROPS

Yes ric is right again ;) But usually the TEMPEST is like the mirage or bravo-one ,where it displays the name on the side of the hub barrel. There are two different Tempest props.

Tempest and a Tempest Plus. If it does not display the name, its a old style Tempest and the blades are thinner and not as much cupping. It may also have the rubber insert instead of the flo-torque insert.

More than likely the reason it is cavating on take off is the rake angle is to aggressive.
