350mag mpi & whipple?
 

I have a friend who is not happy with his 2003 350mag mpi/bravo and wants to whipple the motor over the winter. What kind of HP could be achieved adding a whipple? I think the bravo could handle anything he could throw at it.

I'm sure there are several guys who can help answer your questions. Budah (Jack) is very familiar with the Whipples and has a ton of experience with small blocks. Dennis Moore may have some experience with those as well.

I was once interested in small blocks with Whipples and did a little research on it. Much of it will depend on the amount of boost and rpm you will run it at. Also, I either heard of or read somewhere that smallblocks really respond well to a good exhaust system, therefore, although you don't really need an aftermarket exhaust system, it would greatly enhance the breathing capability and performance of your small block engine(s) vs. the stock Merc cast iron exhaust you now have. Stainless Marine makes a good exhaust system incase you are interested in modifying your exhaust in the future. Have fun. :)
