575/xr reliability in a bigger single

I've followed the threads about issues in bigger twins etc.

How are the xr's or even xz's holding up in a bigger single (Like a Pantera 28 with 575-650 hp)

I've been real pleased with the 650/ xz in my Daytona but I'm pushing 1000lbs and a lot of wetted surface area less than the Pantera.

I know some people can break a bb in a sandbox by smashing it with a rubber mallet- I'm not that type:D

PS- can someone make it stop raining- just for the weekend?

Danger Kitty is running 600 plus into his on his 28, I'd PM him and see what he has to say. He is on at least his second year for his boat.
