Looking for good vinyl cleaner

I have some mildew stains on some parts of the vinyl in my boat. Anyone know of a good cleaner that will remove the tough stuff? I can’t seem to get anything to work. I have tried Simple Green, soap, bleach, Armour All and the West Marine mildew remover to no avail.

Any advice is much appreciated.

Thanks
Roby

I sue Clorox spray cleaner with bleach and a small scrub brush. Works great and will make the vinyl white again. Be sure to test in an inconspicuous spot.

I use black streak remover for tough stuff

Spray nine usually works best.

Simple green & a scrub brush works on almost
everything, but for the nasty stains try Softscrub
with bleach, it works great!!!

i had all my interior redone and they told me to keep it looking great for years use wd40! it cleans awesome and won't eat the stitches. just wipe it down after with a damp cloth.

for small areas like ink stains use soft scrub.

I tried some Goof Off once. It takes off nail polish

The previous owner of my boat used Spray Nine and it worked great. Right down till the stitching fell apart on ME:mad: So now I have a new rear seat , engine hatch and side panels:cool:Somehow the boolsters survived:confused:

I've heard Spray Nine is tough on stitching before , now I know first hand:rolleyes:

Dacron threads endure most anything. Cotton (the cheaper, more common, and most widely used) stitching, will fail. All depends on who stitched it and what they used. Talk to a sail-maker! --- Jer --- p.s. DAMN; I just hate to suggest that you consult a "blowboater" but some of them DO know some things.
