I was told by quite a few sales people that they changed the hull and that it was made lighter.
That is why the 90's 34's were at least 5 MPH faster than the older models with the same HP.
MY boat doesn't have any hook. If anything it has a slight rocker at the bulkhead in front of the engines.

once your up on the props the hull hook is not much of a isue

For a heavy boat any hook is a real problem.
I need all the bow lift I can get and if my boat had a hook it would be a real problem.

you can grind a lititel haer and thier to get most boat to run preaty fair.tune in a few ski boats in my day. hey with enough hp almost any thing can fly

TinkerBoater, I was just under my boat yestuday cleaning it and I defintly do not have a hook. If anything I have the same rocker you spoke of just in front of the engines. Maybe the Kevlar layup on mine is the difference.
