I know i know, been here done that.....
You engine guru's don't want to give away the secrets.. just wanted a few opinions on specific parts dart big m ? tall or short deck? rotating assembly ?? longer rods = better geometry ?? pistons? Heads ? cubic inches 540, 565, 572 ??? remembering i'm looking for mild bullet proof engines |
See this thread- notably Kaama's results:
http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...threadid=58079 I would go tall deck if you dont have stuff you need to re-use. Most parts cost the same either way, and in theory there are some slight performance advantages- also wear advantages. Less side thrust on the piston may result in better ring sealing, and piston skirt wear. Bulldog- the 540 kind:frog: :frog: :frog: |
