procharging a 7.4L MPI
I have a stock 7.4L MPI with through hull exhaust, stern jack, and a Bravo III, all on a heavy boat. I would like to achieve 450-500HP, keep my MPI, have a reliable rig under 4700RPM and am willing to put in the biggest inter cooler to avoid detonation. Has anyone had sucess procharging a 7.4L MPI?

I ran a ProCharger on a 7.4 carb motor for three years. It had around 500hp with a 9# pulley.

Baronbob,
I ran a twin 1998 7.4 MPI Procharger set-up reliably for three years. It worked as advertised. Although it was seldom used above 3# boost due to the wife and rough water, a friend with a single 1998 7.4 MPI ran his hard with equally good results.
I just bought another boat and am selling my 7.4 MPI set-up (sold one already). It has 40 hours on it and is in very good shape. If you want more details please contact me at [email protected].
