Also something else to consider. When they replaced the tanks, would they have had to remove the throttle linkage? If so maybe they wern't installed back and adjusted correctly?

Hey Pure Energy,
Are these things injected? If their injected, then I would definitely check out the fuel in the tanks. If its bad, the computer will compensate for it by not giving you any decent advance, to prevent knock. If their carburated, I would check the inlet screens like you've been told for debris. Also you can have an aeration problem(read; leaks) or a restriction and still make fuel pressure with no load on the motors. If your readings are under a load, then I would check all the basics; you probably already have, but if its easy, do it again. Good luck

I think I found the problem. I removed the pick up fitting off the tank and it is small!!!!!

Hey Pure Energy,
How did things work out for you? The new tanks had smaller pick-up set-ups than the old tank, huh? Not too uncommon. Try running 1/2" gear from the tubes in the tank to at least the pump like I said before, and you SHOULD be alright...(only speaking from hard learned experiences). Let us know how it goes

Pick-up from tanks are 3/8". I have not been able to find out what the old tanks were. To answer your question...still no good!

Pure energy,
I haven't been around in a few days...but I did run your problem by a few people "in the know" and you need to either drill out your existing fittings and go to 1/2" pick-up tubes or replace the whole show with 1/2" stuff. Also make sure the tubes at least 1/4" to 1/2" off the bottom of the tank. Hope this stuff helps out...don't feel too bad, I'm in the "process" of dialing in the BG stage 3 carbs on my motors, one minute they seem good, the next, complete messes. Hey we love this ****, right!?!

Darkhorse, thanks for the help, but problem solved!!! It was the fuel pick ups. I put in 1/2" fittings and hit 5100 rpm first run. Thanks again!
