By-passing water around tailpipes?

Has anyone tried this? How and how much water? What were the results? I have about 18 inches of rubber exhaust hose after the tailpipes, so I will need some water. The mufflers are CMI's.

Thanks, John B

i tired no water. melted/burned the rubber hose in about 2 minutes. Though i puked my engine turne dout it was just a rubber fire somming out of my tailpipes....

currently have new metal pipe frmo teh headers out eth transom. The water for them tailpipes only is fed from eth bravo water pickup. SO it only gets h20 at speed. Loud at **** aourn deth docks. Overall its doesn't heat too much idling around and when running there is enough to keep the tails cool. But i am told from behind it looks like a massive "mist" sprayer. Doen;t pour out really. WOrk just fine and reversion isn;t even close to an issue.

Try putting valve on your hoses to your exhaust and tee the water to a dump so you keep it flowing well, it will make a big difference in the amount of water and loudness, little to none on power that you will notice.

cutting back on h20 flow is usefull if you're worried about reversion though.
