540 Attack Dog ??
 

Does anyone have the specs for the 540 Attack Dog engine? Also I see listed that these engines come availible with a higher compression ratio for 93 octane fuel. What would that compression ratio be?

do you mean the 1800runsnew "attack dog"???

I have the 502 runsnew motors. They are great! Recently though there have been some concerns here on the board in dealing with them. I suggest calling and speaking with them direct.

I found that site shortly after I posted the question. Do you know what they are running for a compression ratio on the 93 octane model? I guess I could call them to see if they will give me a breakdown of what is "in" the motor for parts cam crank heads ect... Thanks for the info.

Not engine problems, mechanic problems. The motors run strong, but they are supercharged and there are some bugs preventing proper operation.

They ran great a few weeks ago, 5300 rpm and the boat will run low 90's. After having the fuel tanks replaced I have a fuel delivery problem.

i haev heard of few complaint on the quality of the engines from recon. The new crate motors from runs new seem tobe fine but the rebiult stuff from recon (automotive) i'v heard can have issues.
