Mike, Tunnel compression and sealing the tunnel as far forward as possible with the sponsons. That's why the new ones look so boxy.

John I wonder if that theory works on an outboard boat? I think you owned one. An outboard hull seems to need to really stand on its tail to run fast. It will be interesting to see skaters new 30' hull.

The 28 Skater is a similar box (long sponson contact) to the 36 and the new 32. I think the new 30 should be very interesting since Peter is the leader of innovative cat design. Hull #1 will be at Lake X this winter!
