Mismatched engines (heads)

I have twin 454 mags. I had water in the oil on one motor so I had the heads redone. During the work I noticed the head I had rebuilt were Merlin cast icon heads , square port. The other engine has stock heads on it. Neither motor seems to have any other modifications. Would the difference in heads make enough of a difference to cause problems ? Should I look at putting matching Merlin heads on the other motor ?

Thanks

No problems I can think of. I ran 365hp mag engine on one side and a 330hp engine on the other one year and it was no problem. In my case, I think the 365 pulled the 330 up and little and the 330 pulled the 365 down a little. It ran great, but obviously not as good as it could have.

No doubt it is "better" to have similar power on each side, but as long as you don't mix parts on the same MOTOR there's no huge deal.
